    Hello, Boyd Allen!

The [level-full] numbers I stated during our conversation were incorrect here are the correct weights: H-4198 35.0Gr. - the other stuff 43.2Gr. !! With the "other stuff", one could probably "make a mess" . . . I think you are eyeing a potentially good/better avenue. :) RG

    rem 700

Boyd, re-read my post and show me where I contradicted anyone! I merely expressed my DOUBT. Don't presume that my faceceous tag-line expresses any contradictory nature - I am a very successful proponent to doing stuff, "that'll never work", and of encouraging other to do the same . . . ;) RG

    rem 700

I would expect, that Mr. Brackney's work never accommodates contact between barrel breach and bolt. The top Hunter Rifle Rem. 700 smiths - Larry Smart, and others, trued/blueprinted the action completely, and bushed the bolt-body for <0.002" clearance @ both front & rear receiver-rings. Done...

    Shooting glasses?

Russ, they may be nice - But - these are no longer legal @ Webster City, IA (Boone Valley Ikes) BR events. Get some of the "tacti-cool" TV glasses and be happy we allow YOU to use those. We knew that you had to be using something which imparted an unfair advantage!!:p:cool: I have used...

 Thank you, Al! Great pic of Stan.:D For, I cannot recall how long now, but certainly since the wide variety of [so called] 30BR Robinette reamers began appearing (mis-spelled too:p), I have advised, both via phone conversations(s) and I-net forums, that, for ultimate precision, KNOWING...

    Fireforming a 30BR

This post ought to have a "sticky" - Thank You, Russ!! Keep in mind, the addage, "there's more than one way to skin a cat"! ;) This is a good one - ya just gatta remember, that most reamers feature a 45 Deg. angle at the mouth, thus, the large [plug] diameter should be very close to, and...

    Fireforming a 30BR

Yep - determine (as in measure) the actual chamber OAL, FL size, trim to the MAXIMUM chamber length, turn necks to desired thickness, fire a couple of times (OAL will shorten a couple of thou), then trim to 0.005" to 0.010" short of MAX length. Monitor and trim [to desired] length when "gap"...
