    Remington 6br brass

Darrell Jones of DJ's Brass Service can supply you with what you need. (205) 461- 4680 To make 22BR cases, I use a Redding 22BR Body Die #75316. That gets the neck O.D. to where you can size it with a bushing die for a no-turn chamber (.255-ish). Or you can turn it at that point to fit...

    Left the range

A quick 'alinwa' story. He had posted something here on fireforming cases and blowing the shoulder forward. I added how I did mine...which he disagreed with. He went on to tell me why it couldn't possibly work. I explained my method in a phone conversation and suggested he try it. A few days...

Very sorry to hear this. Al was a passionate individual that truly enjoyed his family and the shooting sports. I'll miss our good phone conversations.

    International Benchrest bench rules

The answer was likely directed more toward the rule books reference to appropriate, rather than an actual rule.

    International Benchrest bench rules

Yep...as Wayne mentioned, there's no formal specification. I've shot registered IBS/NBRSA tournaments and National Championships on wooden top benches (Painted Post, New York), to cut outs (Porcupine Target Club in South Dakota), T's and wedges. All have their pluses and minuses but as long as...

    8208 info

I've still got a couple 8lb'ers of that exact IMR 8208 lot #AAC 122910. The term 'St Louis Pulldown' is likely because Ron Hoehn sold a bunch of it from his business at the St. Louis range. I bought a case of it from him when I was down there. A friend of mine and I both tried it in our 6 PPC's...

    Upcoming testing

Out this morning to work with seating depth. The first two groups on the right are f-forming brass with a light jam/seat and a bit of Marvel Mystery Oil on the cases. Winds were 8-10 from the 3 o'clock with an occasional lull. On the third groups from the right, it put four into a nice little...

    WTB 220 Russian brass

Help me out here. Your first post states : "Newbie in need of Brass for 268 chamber…" Your last post says " I’m at 252 neck so thinner" Let's start from the start again. ;) What neck diameter is your PPC chamber?

    WTB 220 Russian brass

I shot the .269 6PPC today with the Norma 6PPC brass....pretty impressed with it. I've got one case that I use as a fouler, to get on paper with and before each group just to get a feel for case life. So far, it's been fired 16 times and it's in great shape. -Al

    Upcoming testing

Looking at it at the range this morning....you're right. Out came the heat gun and off came the adhesive backed carbon fiber. More better! Body shaming is "....transmorgrifying" (Calvin and Hobbs) to stock shaming.

    Advice request - benchrest estate

Sorry for your loss, Ron. Honestly, the best bet is going to be someone local with knowledge to help you. I'm in the final stages of rehoming guns and gear of a very good pal of mine for his family. It's been a year and a half but we can see the light at the end. Possibly the match...

    WTB 220 Russian brass

For a .268 neck chamber, take a look at the excellent Norma 6PPC brass. A loaded round measures .266 across the pressure ring of a flat based bullet. I just got some for a .269 neck 6PPC I'm going to work with. Out of the box neck concentricity was excellent. Bruno's has it in stock with free...

    Upcoming testing

It's an RFD LVS action chambered in 6P....6PP...I can't hardly make myself say it... 6PPC. I tried opening a box of Lapua 6BR the other day and it wouldn't cooperate. Tried all nine other boxes with the same result...the cuts in the labels just mysteriously resealed themselves every time...
