What is your preferred trigger cleaning solution

The lighter fluid recommendation came directly from Arnold Jewell. In his own words: "Don't use any of that charcoal starter fluid $h!t. 🫡Too much oil in that crap." I've got this one apart now for some tweaks.

    Arthritis

That's the big thing. 'Ya gotta' keep movin' to keep movin'. I crawl under the race cars every chance I get even though there's sometimes an easier way.

What is your preferred trigger cleaning solution

I periodically drop the Jewells in an ultrasonic cleaner, rinse them with hot water and then use Ronsol lighter fluid.

    Arthritis

I've a finger on each hand with some arthritic stuff....a reminder of some bare knuckle brawls in my teens. 🥴 Voltaren is a topical that just came off the 'prescription only' list and is available over the counter. My knuckles give it a solid '10'. https://www.voltarengel.com

Who did these modifications on a Leupold?

A 10.5 LV gun with a 6X scope for Hunter class would be a hoot. The pool of prospective competitors would be huge....the only thing needed for current LV competitors to compete would be a scope...no need to build a specialized gun for Hunter class. :)

    Bullet making pics.

Randy Robinett mentored me when I started bullet making and continues to do so to this day. Once you have a basic seating pressure established, it's good to experiment and start your own learning curve with your dies.

    Anyone Interested in Buying Benchrest.com?

Wouldn't it be simpler to just have interested parties communicate directly with Elmer? Elmer could post his contact info here, a time frame that he's looking at, etc. The financials should be discussed confidentially and off line, anyway.

    Anyone Interested in Buying Benchrest.com?

Most all platforms can be set up for data mining and resale of data...it's another source of an income stream. In fact, that's probably the default setup menu for most. It's up to the Forum's administrators to allow that, not allow it and/or use a platform and server that gives the choice. It...

    Bullet making pics.

As you add more seating pressure, the jacket continues to stretch. As you keep adding pressure, at some point the jacket will stop stretching and sort of 'dwell' at that length even as seating pressure increases. That's when you know the jacket is about to fracture (pop). Some bullet...

While the prospect is interesting, the time to do it properly just isn't there.

Forum content is routinely migrated to other forum hosting platforms. Both forum administrators work together to facilitate this.

    Anyone Interested in Buying Benchrest.com?

One possibility would be for Paul at Accurate Shooter to dovetail Benchrest.com under his umbrella with a seperate section under the Forum tabs. Everything else is in place so there'd be minimal 'start up' lag or time demands versus a stand alone site.

Poorly worded on my part, Dave. As you correctly note, as core seating pressure increases, the jackets lengthen. -Al

Who did these modifications on a Leupold?

When I decided to return to the Hunter wars for 2024, the first thing I did was shake the trees for known good scopes. ;)

    Define "Crazy"

Dr. Tim, true sociopaths are are quite the piece of work, aren't they? Close behind are the passive aggressive types...but they're easier to manage. Prior to things getting too PC, a few of us made up a chart about the personality traits of each medical specialty. It was done along the...

    Ungluing a Glue-in

Dr. Tim, I've noticed on the 4473 forms for firearms transfers they now list Male, Female and Binary in the Gender section. I filled a 4473 out today and when I got to that section I stopped, looked confused and scratched my head for a bit. The guy behind the counter said: "Now that...

    Primer question

I believe the #41's (and #43's) also have a bit more space between the cup and the anvil.
