This next set of pics will show some of the gear that was used. If you attended a Nationals 10 year ago you would have seen the same gear, we are using today. Actually, some of these rifles were competing at this level 10 years ago. TKH

Calfee did do many such conversions but that was in the days before the Turbos and other custom rimfire actions. Calfee's XP 100 conversions were the center piece of his famous pistols. In their day they were tough to beat, and many would still marvel at their accuracy today. TKH

Why would one want to do that? If you owned the action and was capable of doing the conversion it may be an interesting project. Might even save a little money. But if you had to pay someone to do it the cost could be more than the cost of a new custom rimfire action. Would the conversion...

It just may be better than you are hoping. I recall a guy with a Suhl 150 cleaning my clock while I was shooting an Annie 54 Super match. I also saw the first BR 1000 match won in Virginia by a guy shooting a Suhl. Good luck. TKH

As Scott said there have been some killer Suhl rifles. They have excellent triggers and with a good barrel they can run with most. If the price is right she just may give you a run for your money. But if you can shoot it before you buy it. You should always do that if you can. TKH
