Anyone results from Michigan State Championship

Congratulation Joe! You shot great in some of the toughest conditions at Holton in the past few years. Well deserved...! How tough... only 8 shooters in the afternoon were able to average less than an inch at 200 yards! We had 20-35 mph winds.

    2015 Bluebonnet - SP200, SP grand and 2gun

Nice going Charles Congratulations Charles.. you hung in there well during the hunt! Good shooting to both Mike's. Larry B, I feel for you.. I did the same thing last weekend at Holton and opened the door for Bob, Jr. See you guys at the Supershoot, Wiekert or at St. Louis. Lee

Bob Scarbrough, Jr. Wins the Holton President's Cup

Conditions were fantastic (for Michigan) on Friday (practice) and for Saturday's 100 events. On Sunday the winds began to pickup to 20+ mph. Bob hung in there to pull out the win. There were several very large groups on the last target of the day. Too funny (...you had to be there) ! After...

    Barrels

Hi Mike, I don't know. As you know it's illegal to have anything from Cuba, and I wouldn't do anything that's against the law. As to the "special" powder..., I would rather have those "special" bullets. You know, the ones that always fly into the same hole!

    Barrels

Jerry, The very first group match that I shot in 1990, I had a screamer 0.090 in LV 100. I didn't finish in the top 3 in the agg. Last year at the Hog Roast I shoot an 0.068 in the first target in HV100, and I didn't finish in the top five in the agg. Like I said, "...it's a tough sport"...

    Barrels

Hi Joe, Hope all is well. Success in this sport is tough, no doubt about it. One thing my mentor asked me early on, "... do you want my guidance or everyone else's?" In other words, stick to one method and technique, and quit looking at what everyone else is doing. You "are" a good shooter...

    A Downward Sprial

First, let me start by saying "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" to all. When I first started shooting benchrest I was trying to learn as much as possible, and this site was a treasure chest of good information. Most of the posts were started by people like me trying to understand the dynamics of shooting...

Bob Scarbrough Jr. Wins Holton Presidents Cup

Bob used his home field advantage to win the 2-Gun in cold windy conditions. How bad was it, 8 shooters didn't finish (they may have been wiser than the rest of us). Rumor has it that they got knocked down by the 30 mph gust, and after they stopped rolling they couldn't find their way back...

    Cactus LV Grand?

Did anyone happen to take a pic of the LV grand for the Cactus? If you did, it would be great if you could post it. Thanks, Lee

    WWCCA VFS Match 3.16.14

Too Cold to Shoot ..! Well, it was 16 degrees on my reloading bench, and we had a brisk wind from the west (moving down range). Only six brave souls showed up. 200 Group Agg: Lee Hachigian, shooting 6ppc - .3413 Rich Quigley, shooting 30BR - .3551 Larry Feusse, , shooting 30BR - .3894...

    2014 Cactus - HV100 and running 2gun

Tough Conditions! It looks like tough conditions in Phoenix! You normally don't see .60 and .70 shot at 100-yards, from some very good shooters. If one can stay under .30 agg, they are in the top 15 in the running 2-Gun. Wish I was there... I'd take the tough conditions for some warm...

Dominic Grunas Wins "Group" Match at WWCCA

The snow was too high to get the truck to the back of the range, so we hung one score target and shot five groups on the one target at 200 yards. No flags were needed, snowing almost too hard to clearly see the mothball. 17 degrees, light winds from the north. Dominic shot the small group, a...

WWCCA results 100/200 Score Match. Dec 7, 2013.

Great job running the match Tim! We all had a good time. I was the only one who didn't pre-load, ...not too smart when it's 19 degrees and 15 mph winds. Outside of the frost bite fingers, it did allow me to tune on the go. I shot my old Panda (when I say old, it has the "first" left-hand...

WBC 13 - Sydney - Range and loading area pics

It's Monday around 5:00 am in Australia, and we need to be on the bus by 6:00 to head to the range for our first day of competition. Yesterday, we set up our flags for our US team bench rotation. Here are few more pictures. Lee
