Eastern Region Championship Results - Holton

Joe Hynes won the 3-Gun and Bob Scarbrough Jr. won the 2-Gun this weekend at the Eastern Region Championship at Holton Gun Club. The conditions were typical for Holton; calm mornings and breezy, switchy and mirage in the afternoons. One or two groups made the difference of where the competitor...

Francis, when was the last time you were at the Supershoot? Or shot a Railgun? Lee

    Super Shoot 2016

Jim is right. Kelbly's is one of the better ranges in terms of bench/target alignment (go shoot Weikert). As to seeing your competitor number at 200 yards, the range needs to print or write them as large as possible. Since the Supershoot is not a registered NBRSA match, Jim and team can do...

There is always personalities, and someone that has difficulty understanding the team concept, but those don't cause the unfortunate errors. Everyone is trying to do their best, and no one can whisper in you ear when the commence fire is given. Unless you've competed in the World...

    Flag Stand Point?

One more question for Smiley flags. Should the tip be a point, round or semi round cone with a flat?

    Flag Stand Point?

All, Thank you for the suggestion and thoughts. I made a few out of a brass rod and I will give them a try. If they don't work I'll order a length of SS rod online. Not a lot of effort to make. See you all in September. Lee

    Flag Stand Point?

Good Question Wilbur. Because I couldn't find anywhere to buy 1/4" SS rod nearby.

    Flag Stand Point?

Question: I'm replacing the points (1/4-inch Dia. Steel) on my flag stands because they have rusted and oxidized. In lieu of stainless steel, does anyone have any experience with brass points? I've got Smiley flags on homemade stands. Thanks, Lee

    Railgun Cart?

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm going to take CLP's idea and buy a folding garden cart and put a top on it. On the plus side, I'll tell my wife it's for her to use during yard work! Lee

    Railgun Cart?

Anyone know who might be making them? Or, have pictures I might be able to use as a template? ? ... not sure if I can build it with my Dremel Tool, but I'm getting tied of hauling the thing from bench to loading area and back to the bench! Thanks, Lee

Jack Neary wins 2-Gun at WWCCA

Jack Neary stayed dry and cool to win the WWCCA Wolverine Challenge in hot, wet, and humid conditions. Peter Smith continued his fine shooting season finishing second. Heavy rain on Sunday surprised several shooters with the "oh-crap" rain shots and big groups. New shooter Butch Lipscomb shot...
