    Anno Job

Thanks Gene, I had looked into it years ago but the parts I do require large tanks and with so many colors the room (or lack there of) and the expense of an entire set up it did not seem feasible to/for me, And more importantly I already have plenty of work to do already, Possibly someday a few...

    Anno Job

Hey Gene, No I don't do my own anodizing, Sometimes I wish I did though, I hate handing over my parts to someone else, You live in Albany OR?, I have CG Industries do some of my stuff but they have a limited selection of colors, For the rest I have it done in Portland for more colors and bright...

Rail Gun Shooters and current rigs?

Rich. For the life of me I can't find the picture of that wider rail top I built but basically it was a tapered I-Beam 2" wider than the regular one with more travel.Besides the fact that he wanted the tapered look it also helped cut down on weight since it was heavier, It was not anodized since...

Rail Gun Shooters and current rigs?

Rich Many years ago (early 2000's) I made a few rails with 1" wider blocks between the slide ways and I-beam making the whole rig 2" wider and I had 4 slide pins on the Cross bar to accommodate both widths of rails, But you would have to have a special 4 pin crossbar on a bench rotation for each...

    New rail

Good to hear from you Jackie, I have a CNC knee mill and have done the prototype on it, I am having a company rough them out for me to take the hogging work out of it, that is the time consuming part with so much metal removal and truing up I-Beams is also time consuming, I like to have a...

    New rail

I am going to start having an option of making the I-Beam and bottom part of the barrel block made out of one piece so the barrel block will be machined into the beam from a solid piece of aluminum ,They are only going to be roughed out then I will finish them up myself, They will be the same...

    Rail Gun prints

Bill, I build them with 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" thick plates, I have only built 1 that was 1" and 1 that was 2" because the customer wanted it that way. 1-1/2" is plenty, Good luck...

    New Railgun Forum

Rails Mr.T I posted some pictures of plate top rails that I built for testing purposes and for competition,The plates are more expensive than the I-Beam but the I-Beams are a whole lot more work by the time you machine them down to size and true them up, I would rather do plates but people...
