What cases? Shooting at what range with what expectations? I primarily shoot 100 yds with groups in the twos, with factory forster sizing and le wilson seating dies with factory alpha or lapua brass. It all depends on what your expectations are whether it's a waste of time or not.

That's not bluing unless it's a steel (ferrous) scope tube and I doubt it is; that's sun beaten black anodizing. I restore old bikes, and that's PRECISELY what happens to black anodized aluminum parts after years of sun exposure.

It's the traditional Remington bdl blind magazine componentry. At this time, my loads haven't reached the oal that would prohibit it from loading into that mag yet. I have another round of load development coming up for it so we shall see if I have to go out longer than mag length oal.

Tuned 700. Mine looks like the 'coned breach'.

I ask because there's a little space where a loaded cartridge can sit, when I push the bolt forward that makes the tip of the bullet smash into that 'face' if you will of the barrel. Not sure how a coned bolt would help me. And there's no feel lips per se because it's a blind magazine.

I have a question about installing a barrel in an action. When you chamber a barrel and thread it in, I wonder why before it's threaded in, gunsmiths dont chamfer that face of the barrel so that bullets dont smash into that flat there when chambering. Is that a thing?
