Back in the day it was usually 27.8 to 28.3 grains for a bench gun using neck sizing dies. When the powder changed color from black to greenish gray it quickly fell out of favor.
Hi Mace.
Once you find a seating depth that is working for you, I generally leave it till the groups open up and then move it out till it tunes in again. Every barrel, bullet, reamer combo has its preference.

The Grand American ATA trap shoot is held in Sparta usually every year and attracts shooters from around the world. The Super Shoot was held in Ohio until 2022 and the results have been posted.
They are now settling on new location for the Super Shoot and in 2023 will have it at the St Louis club.
There are lots of ways of doing it. With a .262 chamber turning to .0085 neck thickness I usually did it in 2 passes, .0095 to .010 on first and final to .0085. The current thinking with some shooters is to take a bit more off to make sure you have .002 -.003 clearance in the neck. .008 to .0082...
I would go .003 at a time on go in off the lands. Jamming hard into the lands always raises the risk of pulling a bullet and dumping powder in the action. Not what you need when shooting a tiny little bug hole.
The old Sako brass was a balloon head type case if I recall correct and will not withstand the pressures used nowadays with 133. They may be ok with loads around 27.8 grains of 322 but work up slowly. It has been many years since they were used in competition.

That is sure an interesting way to run a match. It would be interesting to hear peoples opinion on how they liked the different format after it is over.

I would say you need to clean as often as is needed to maintain accuracy. Most people cannot see when it falls off until it is to late and then you have a major cleaning to do. New barrels that are good usually need little cleaning but as they get more rounds through them you have to get more...
