    NRA Lawsuit

Current elected climate is to destroy all constitutional rights. Not going to stop until we the people stop it ourselves and right now that is long shot in and of itself.

    Texas Got Right

Thanks for sharing those States the News media wasn't going to do it. Now that Gaven Newsom is in the process of being recalled, maybe we can get a Constitutionalist Governor who might do the same for us someday.

Coned bolt nose to barrel clearance

Interesting topic indeed for myself having absolutely no knowledge of how to go about working with a cone bolt. And the fine line there appears to be to either get right or possibly wrong.

    Shooting glasses?

When I had my cataracts removed and also one with stigmatism I also had corrective lenses permanently installed. And what is confusing to me is everyone talking about benchrest shooting or trap and position shooting as well. My own needs would be just for scoped benchrest shooting alone and not...

    Shooting glasses?

Jackie Schmidt what type do you wear for work and for competitive shooting to protect yourself. Reason I ask is you are always around all types of machinery and curious if use something special and dedicated to just competitive shooting or just use the same for both as I do myself. This is a...

    Shooting glasses?

As Lou says I have the plastic lenses and I have had that problem myself now that he brings it up. Probably why it makes it abit more challenging when I am adjusting my parallax. Only reason I have the plastic is I needed protective lenses for work. Lou to your knowledge do they make any type of...

Coned bolt nose to barrel clearance

There is a wealth of information here and Jackie is one who has shared allot. This also reminds me of cutting my barrel threads to screw on with somewhat of a real snug hand fit. Until Jackie as well as others here have shared that it might not actually be the best or even the right approach.

    Caldwell BR

My Caldwell base if memory serves right weighed 22lbs. and I am not sure if is even offered anymore. The newer ones I have seen are in no way the same. My is pictured on the first page.

    Caldwell BR

I bought my first Caldwell rest when they first came out and then modified it quite abit. I now have a Randolph and it now better fits my own needs. But you are right if one can afford it to go for something that might be a slightly higher price.

    " Common Sense" gun laws

Sad there are some folks who really need mental health care and are living on the streets without any money or any food to eat. And not all are druggies several years back San Francisco rounded up their mentally ill on the streets and bought them bus tickets and sent them here to where I live...

    " Common Sense" gun laws

My home town had a quite large mental hospital and why they closed it is well beyond me. Here is a link to that old site. And now all we have is behavioral center that really doesn't have any capacity or what it actually needs by far. Most have drug issues and there is absolutely no long term...

    Caldwell BR

I personally have not seen an Acme Thread being used on a Caldwell front rest. But you are indeed correct in that it was more typically being used. When I find the time I need to go take a look at what my Randolf Rest actually has.

    Caldwell BR

It is quite odd that they are not all the same? I actually ordered a new complete upper top assembly for my rest sometime back. I needed two at the time and the threaded rod and thread pitch on it was not the same.

    Caldwell BR

Also keep in mind that different rests did not all use the same size stem and thread pitch. A friend ordered a new BR front rest and it was actually quite different than my own and his stem is 7/8 X 10 threads per inch and I just now checked it to see what his actually is. I also made jam nuts...

I would just contact them at the link below just go to the drop down menu to find the contact information. I have ordered parts from them before and a technician could very easily help you out with the correct information. https://www.caldwellshooting.com/
