    Removing stock tape

Guys, Once again, thanks for your speedy assistance. For those who may have the same problem - I found that the hair-dryer made it much easier to peel off but it does leave a bit more adhesive behind than if you peel it off cold. I used some automotive carb. cleaner to remove the residue...

    Stocks for the Savage FT/R

6 Beggs .269 at the range today

With the 22 Beggs, a full case (halfway up the neck) of Vit133 (51.75 clicks) was giving me 3410 fps with Bart's 52gn bullets. Accuracy OK. No pressure. 50 clicks on the Harrel of Hodgdon Benchmark was giving 3580fps and better accuracy. Again, no pressure. My barrel is only 20 inches as I...

Tyler, I've sort of built one. A friend with a 223 Savage BVSS wanted something a bit better for no money. It cost him the price of a new bolt-head. Ran in a 22 Dasher reamer a bit longer into the existing barrel - just enough to take out the 223 chamber and cut a new neck. Couldn't cut the...

    243 WSSM extraction problems

Guys, Maybe this has been discussed before - if so, sorry. Is there any history of difficult extraction with this cartridge? The rifle I'm working with is a new Browning A Bolt. Extraction is very difficult with both factory and home-loads. Thanks Vince (UK)

What Would It Be 6BRX-6.5 Creedmoor

The 6.5 Creedmore is very close to the 6.5x47 Lapua. I would speculate that the Lapua brass will be superior to the Hornady. The 6BR and any of its derivatives - Dasher, BRDX etc. will make a great F Class round out to 600 yds. - and you have the advantage of Lapua brass. The 6mm version of...
