Tony, thanks for the information. I have the V3 with the crescent firing pin. The action and trigger hanger have been modified to allow for changes in the depth of firing pin indention on the case head. Would this modification do anything else other than the 30% reduction in bolt lift? Bolt lift...

Cleaning rods After trying a multitude of rods I settled on one of Jerry Stiller's melonited, .187 diameter rods with a Mike Lucas bore guide. The bore guide has a bushing that fits the .187 rod perfectly. You measure your rod diameter and Mr. Lucas bores the bushing to fit.

Contact Tony Purdy, Packrat on this forum. He is very helpful and will walk you through the process. I used the Prx on one of my rifles and got within 8 clicks of the final setting. This method saves a lot of ammo.

I bonded a plate to the deck of a boat with 3M 5200. When I tried to remove the plate a year later some of the deck came up with the plate. The only way to separate anything bonded together with 5200 is to get a length of piano wire attached to two makeshift handles and get the wire between the...
