George:
There are no realistic options for me George. I can understand the "just have fun and shoot" mentality but traveling 4-5 hours to shoot for fun isn't in the cards for me.
Looks like I'll have some World Record rifles for sale soon.
Scott:
I know you have tried to defend Jason and give him some slack but that train left the station a long time ago.
The pathetic support for the Indoor UL Nationals is a pretty good barometer of how shooters feel about this miserable state of affairs.
I'm sorry you weren't able to stick...
First, the weather tomorrow for the Sporter Nationals looks beyond nightmarish. Heavy rain and 20 mph winds... who knows what the gusts will be. I like a challenge as much as the next shooter but this will be bloodbath. Should the Sporter Nationals be moved to Saturday? A double header with the...
If you're just starting out you might want to try my method of aiming.
(this assumes shooting a IR50/50 target or similar)
First of all you have to have a very small dot for this method to work. I hold on the rings at the bottom of the bull... not in the center. To me, the "center" is harder...
And... in a 3 Gun National there can be 6 shooters winning! Yards AGG, Meters AGG, 2 Gun AGG Yards, 2 Gun AGG Meters and 4 Gun AGG, and 6 Gun AGG.
Confused yet?
The previous scoring program showed you all the information you were looking for during a match. It showed you each target... also, the standings in either Yards or Meters... and a running total of the AGG when you started shooting the 4th, 5th or 6th target.
To do this with this new program...
George,
IR5050 Nationals are 6 target matches... comprised of 3 Yards targets and 3 Meters targets (except 10-shot which is 5 targets).
When totaling the 6 target UL AGGs the placement in either Yards or Meters is irrelevant.
The 3 Yards targets and 3 Meters targets are also considered...
If you're talking about a IR5050 Nationals then it's a 6-Gun (or target) discussion.
The rules are very clear...
"Six Gun Agg Ties
The scorer will check score of UL-1 class at 50 yards to determine
winner. Highest score wins."
So, Don Kowalski was the winner (best 1st target Yards) and the new...
The question being discussed was how to break a 6 target AGG tie if shooters have same score and same X-count.
If you're talking about the image above, yes, the new scoring program is a mess. This graphic is sorted to show final standings for Yards AGG. When it's sorted this way the individual...
Tony,
You are correct... the matches you described (3-Gun State and 3-Gun Regional) are on the IR5050 schedule for January 21... but you'll need a time machine to shoot them. Jason still has the 2023 schedule up.
Par for the course, right?
