Tractor George Atkins has left the range

I saw this over on RA earlier, sad news indeed. I only met George a few times, but they were always enjoyable. Prayers sent to friends and family. RIP George Scott

    2025 IR 50/50 Indoor Nationals 21-23 March 2025

Tony, thanks for the update. Interesting schedule of events. At the time of this post, I do not see this on the IR website schedule. Hope there is a good turnout. Good Lord willing, I'll be there. Scott

Jason, Thank you for your public recognition of the top shooters in the 2024 season. Your continued evolutions as far as recognition of your customers is very refreshing and very appreciated! Scott

John (Dick) Spafford has left the range

Helen is a very sweet woman, and yes, always had cookies! Her homemade peach pie was always appreciated at lunchtime as well! Haven't seen her since Dick retired from competing several years ago. Thanks for your post Wayne. Good to hear from you. Scott

John (Dick) Spafford has left the range

John (Dick) Spafford, a long time IR 50/50 competitor and Silver HOF member, has left the range today. John shot in the Iowa/Illinois area and also traveled to some National events for IR as well. My sincere condolences to his wife Helen, and their family. May you rest in peace Dick, Scott

IR5050 Hall Of Fame is now Current

This is great news! I have been on the IR website and from what I see, everything is working as it should and the data seems to be correct for me, and several others I know of. Santa came a little early for IR fans......finally!! Congratulations to everyone who moved into the Gold and Metal of...

    BR associations

If one can find any rifles for sale at Killough Shooting Sports, please let me know. I scoured their website the other day and found zero rifles for sale, yet a certain member here still claims selling rifles was the original goal of the rule that excluded HIS rifle. Hum? Kind of hard to sell...

    BR associations

Larry and Pat, Excellent posts! If either of you are not familiar with rsmithsr, he has been a 'RFBR troll' here several times over the years. IIRC, he has also been banned from this board at least once but is a current member now. As you can clearly see by his posts, he has either no knowledge...

Above, very well written, excellent post! Thanks George, and God's speed to your recovery. Scott

    IR50/50 Indoor Unlimited Nationals 2024 @ Piney HIll $$$

Bruce, although I understand, I truly hope you will think about this a little more before making a final decision. Those world record rifles are bought and paid for. And I know they are record holders, as I had to sign 12 cards of yours as a ref at Kettlefoot one year before sending them in to...

    IR50/50 Indoor Unlimited Nationals 2024 @ Piney HIll $$$

Kent, we don't know each other, but I can guarantee Tony Harper is not the only one promoting IR50/50. Brian Voelker and I have recruited and added several new shooters to 3-Gun (at least 10) in the last several years. Also, we both MD for the sanctioning body and run four 3-Gun matches a month...

    IR50/50 Indoor Unlimited Nationals 2024 @ Piney HIll $$$

George, very sorry to hear of your physical issues. Prayers to you for a speedy recovery. Your name, and many other significate names, were not on the list of competitors this year at the IR UL Indoor Nationals. Not surprising or a good sign of the sanctioning body's support. Participation was...

    Benchrest Rifle Triggers

Wade Hull, of Shilen, has done quite well at several ARA UL Outdoor Nationals shooting a Shilen trigger. Couple of top 10's IIRC. Scott

    IR5050 Nationals... 2 thoughts

I partially agree with the above. Seeing old friends and meeting some new ones, to include Tim as we have talked but never met, was a great time. The weather/conditions on Friday were atrocious for shooting, but sanctioned outdoor RFBR matches are just that, outdoors. There were no dangerous...

    IR5050 Nationals... 2 thoughts

Bruce, I am not in favor of a 12 card day on Saturday. You and I both know from experience what shooting the old 'Iron Man' tournaments were like. I have seen weather from about 4 different sources, and one does match your information, and another was close. Percentage spread for rain was about...
