Had a shooter Saturday night have trouble removing the bolt on his 52C. I found the problem about 1:30 AM Sunday, as I have never had this problem, and wanted to find out what happened. After removing the scope, and the removing the rear tang screw, ( has to be removed from the top ) I turned the rifle over to remove the from bedding screw. Thought I would check to make sure the bolt was still stuck. With no effort at all, it came right out. Problem was, the left extractor pin had fallen down and was not allowing the bolt to close or be removed. Note: Bolt release on a Canjar must be pressed with the hammer down. Trigger pushed forward if using stock trigger. If this ever happens to you, first turn the rifle upside down and tap on the bolt to get the pin to fall back into place if possible, or just out of the way. Be sure to re-stake the extractor pin when you put it back in the correct way. This pin has a slight tapper to it, so whenever you remove one, alway push the pin out the top of the bolt. punching it out any other way, will resize the pin and it will then remainl loose and possible fall out in the middle of a match. Sorry this was long, but it could save you 52 shooters a bad night.
