who were the first 4 presidents?

Heck ,,,I knew that..had a great history teacher and since I had him, I love history, but before him...yeech!

On a list of very good Presidents I would place Eisenhower. He could get things done.

Another President who was fairly good who will not be found on a list of great Presidents was Nixon.
Now what do you think?

I would concur

With Eisenhower. but "tricky Dick" was the worst President ever. Even Obama cannot bring the shame on the office that the "paranoid crook" from California brought. Nixon was the plain and simple worst ever.

Nixon actually was one of your best Presidents in my opinion( excluding that little scandal).

The question should be.. what Presidents should NOT have been President?

That's easy ... the ones who weren't elected! Whether we agree with them or not, the majority of the American people get it right.

Richard Nixon was a good man with flaws like everyone else.

Richard Nixon got a good many positive things done. He ended the war in Vietnam. He got relations going with China. He enacted the 55 MPH speed limit when we had a gasoline shortage (questionable).

Much can be said about President Nixon but he worked very hard for the American People. That he participated in the coverup of the campaign break in of the Democratic campaign office at the Watergate cannot be denied. He did have flaws. LBJ had some flaws as did JFK and even FDR but the press did not expose these Presidents because of their flaws. With Nixon the press found they had the power take down an American President. He was paranoid with good reason.

Richard Nixon biggest flaw was his pride.

With living close to the City Of Detroit, I have come to the realization that more campaign headquarters should be broken into.
One needs to only look at the politics of the infamous Chicago.
I feel there have been far worse presidents than Richard Nixon. I mean, we all feel we need social medicine, right? We need legislation shoved down our collective throats.?!?

Wise words!
Well spoken!

We need legislation shoved down our collective throats.?!?

Francis, From the day we are born we are subjected to laws. Be they local, city, county, state, or federal. We don't have a choice. One could say that every state that renders the privilege of driving and requires the driver to have a driver's license, registration, a license plate, and insurance, in order to drive, has collectively shoved those requirements down our throats too. And that's just one example.

In general, legislation regulates the way people live and also improves their lives. I'm sure you felt that way about fire safety laws. I bet individuals that you dealt with, those who flaunted fire laws, felt those laws were being shoved down their throats too. What was your answer when they asked "why must I follow fire safety laws?" I'd be surprised if it wasn't along the lines of "it's for everyone's good."

I am sorry, I can't help you. I wish I could but I voted for the other guy.

Maybe you can help me out and just name the last 7. I was born when there were 48. I do remember Alaska and Hawaii becoming states but I guess I was busy or out of town for the other 7.

You got me stumped. There only six Mexican states along the border with the United States so those are not them.

Next question

What was the last World War the US was involved in that didn't advance the Communist cause??

It's the people who vote in the President. The U.S as a whole has decided on her direction by the leaders they vote in to represent them and it is clear what direction the people have chosen. If they continue to chose that direction I believe the days of the U.S as a great nation are numbered.Your enemies smell blood and are anticipating the fall of your great nation.Your enemies want you to continue on the path you have chosen. What will it take for the people to chose the right way?The U.S was once a righteous Nation but it can hardly be considered as such now.The U.S sends out pornography to all the Nations of the world, every sort of vile behaviour imaginable. They celebrate wickedness and persecute righteousness. As just one small example just look at the difference in public attitude towards abortion. Those who oppose abortion are vilified. The U.S has forsaken their great heritage and for what? There were glimpses of the U.S turning around following 911 but that lasted for about 3 weeks and people again turned to their old ways and even more so. Positive change starts with individuals choosing to do the right thing, making the right choices( often politically incorrect),sometimes tough choices .In the end it will benefit you, your children, grandchildren and NATION. However, no one wants to rock the boat and they compromise a little more and a little more. They concede a little here, a little there. When you look back you are far far from where you started. Now your NATION is only a shadow of her former glory.
The U.S is not alone in this. All the Nations of the world are guilty but there was never a Nation blessed like the U.S.
The U.S was a great Nation when she stood firm on the principles of her forefathers but those principles are almost like a distant memory now.
Obviously I am not a U.S citizen but it is my hope and prayer the U.S turns around and chooses to return to the principles that made her such a great nation. Those principles will bring her back into blessing and she can be greater than ever before.

What was the last World War the US was involved in that didn't advance the Communist cause??

None that I can remember either.

At the beginning of the big one WW I there were no Communist countries. From 1914 to 1924 15% of the world population came under Communists evil oppression.

The next big one WW II, who won? From 1940 to 1950, during that short 10 year period 43% of the world population and 50% of the land mass came under this most evil movement.

Funny how when we grew up and listened to Pathe News at the movies, no TV yet, and read the Grit and the Washington Post and UPS and AP news feeds we were to believe that the US actually won.

Go figger.....
