What is up with these tv cable network hunting programs?

People who watch those are like the people who watch porno films and think that that is really the way it is LOL!!!!!

Hunting shows are kind of like professional wrestling except that in professional wrestling they cannot shoot the walk up to the animal scene 5times because they forgot the rant about how great it was to be out hunting!!

no wonder i've been bailing out tired and winded, thought it was just old age !

First you say the porno films are fake. Now you say professional wrestling is fake too.

Man, you REALLY ruined my day!

Does this mean there's no Tooth Fairy? :(

We have a very nice local gun range and on two Sundays a year a bit before big game season non members can come to the range to get help sighting in their rifles.
We charge $5.00 a rifle and for that they get the benches, sand bags, targets and old farts like myself to help them sight in their guns. While most are ok (especially the kids and women, believe it or not) you'd be amazed however at the lack of skill and frankly what a lot of guys consider "ok" to take hunting. To some, getting 3 rounds in a 10 inch circle at 100 yards off a bench is fine and away they go. I know as sure as your born these are the same crowd that will fire off hand at a herd of running elk at 500 yards, it's pathetic.
As Draconian as it may sound if I were in charge there would be a proficiency test required to to hunt big game as they do in some European countries. Nothing too difficult, say 3 out of 5 lethal hits on a slow moving elk target at 100 yards. Sounds harsh I know but what ever happened to honing "hunting skills"?
Most of the shows in question sure don't help us out much in our long term goal of maintaining our hunting heritage, some don't seem so bad. Who am I to judge anyway? It's sure changed since I was a kid (good gosh, I've turned into my Dad )
