I have a Howa and understand that they are the same as a Vangard, if they are the same this should work.
You can remove your firing pin assem. from your bolt by holding your bolt in your left hand with the bolt lugs pointing away from you and turning the bolt shroud/cocking piece to the right about a 1/4 turn with your right hand. The bolt will pop up because of the spring pressure. To reinstall the bolt there is a raised place on the firing pin, line it up with the relieved area in the end of the bolt, push down on the bolt shroud to compress the spring and turn to the left until the cocking piece drops into the cocking piece notch on the end of the bolt. That's all there is to it.
The use of Mag primers is because the 204 Ruger is hard on primers. I pierced a Remington 6 1/2 before I went to 7 1/2 primers. I have a box of factory shells that I have used and one of them is raised around the firing pin hole.
hope this helps. This experience is from a Howa - Remington- Tompson Center.
