The WBC 15 is over but it will live in memory not only for the big USA win it will live in history for the fact that Walt Berger at 91 years of age had to step in and replace a spot in the USA team becuse of a sad moment when a icon of the Benchrest in the world Tony Boyer had to step down due to sudden illness of his wife Faye. ( Our thoughts is with her and we wish her well)
I was fortunate enough to be at the WBC 15 and I shoot with Walt Berger in relay 4. Walt at 91 stood his ground and more winning both Silver and Gold, I saw him shoot a 0,165 gr at 200 yard !
To be able to do this at 91 years of age is beyond words and he finished in the top 20 in 2 Gun.
Though Benchrest is not one of the top shooting sport in the world, Walt Berger's achievement is one of the top result in the history of shooting sport in my opinion.
I want to thank Mr. Walt Berger for giving us the pleasure of witnessing this at WBC 15 in Calgary Walt Berger2.jpgWalt Berger.jpg

Walt's the man!!!

As sad as it is for Tony (with prayers going
Out for Faye), Walt stepped up and pulled his
Own weight at the age of 91. Absolutely
Amazing!!!!! A big tip of the hat goes out
To Wayne Campbell and the rest of the
U.S.A. Team for helping Walt achieve his
Goal!!! Good going guys!!
