Vic Smith, Gary Walters Take Wins at The Texas State Varmint for Score Championships!

Wow, what a day!

The Tomball Gun Club hosted the Texas State Varmint for Score today on a nice overcast day, ….,,,,except for the 15 to 20 mph winds.

Gary Walters Shot an outstanding 250 24x to dominate the 100 yard leg. Really some fantastic shooting in some really tough conditions.

When we moved to 200 yards in the afternoon, things really got demanding. Tomball is known for switchy winds, but add 20 mph worth of push and things can get really ugly really quick. For just about everybody but Vic Smith, who managed to wade through the mayhem with just two dropped points, giving him a 248 5x to take the win.




Vic’s fine shooting at 200 propelled him to the overall Championship, being crowned the NBRSA Texas State Varmint for Score Champion.

Thanks to the Tomball Gun Club for Hosting this event and thanks to Richard and Dwayne Pullum and their great target crew for such an enjoyable Match.
