2011 VISALIA INVITATIONAL
This is our yearly 5 shot Unlimited Match. Which usually means some great Aggs, this year was no disappointment. Our friends from Washington State came down as usual, and really took over.
Sat was very uncomfortable weather, temp got to 89, humidity was a killer at 50%
Sat morning we started at 100 yards
We had 32 shooters, 27 with rail guns
There were 15 Teen Aggs, small groups were .107 –. 106 – .094 – .074 - .090
1st Place - Larry Boers .1496
2nd Place – Jack Childers .1526
3rd Place – Eric Stanton .1624
Smal l Group – Jack Childers .074
We went 200 for the afternoon and rotated nine benches
Had 5 teen Aggs, small groups were .273 - .225 - .179 - .259 - .171
1st Place – Larry Boers .1356
2nd Place – Jack Childers .1666
3rd Place – Tom Libby .1721
Small group was .171 by Don Carter - with a bag gun

Sunday we started at 200 again, we lost four shooters, total of 28 shooters
Weather much nicer, temp was down in the 70’s all day, Humidity was in the 60’s, but very comfortable all day

Looks like the northwest boys did alright! Congrats to all! That's always a really fun and competitive shoot down there!

I would like to thank all of the crew from CA for all of the hard work they put into the match. It was a well run match which makes it a fun match to go to. The chow is pretty good that gets cooked there. It can make shooting a little hard at times when the wind comes from the south and blows aroma of the food cooking down across the shooting line. Everyone is friendly and very sapportive. It's a must go to match if you can make it happen. 2 days of 5 shot unlimited shooting is always fun. I have really enjoyed meeting and making new friends that you usally only read about. I would like to open the south borders of WA for all to come up to our 3 day Sniper King match next July 4th weekend. You will all be welcome to come and try to take some of our WA wood home. :)
 
Thanks to Dennis for throwing a great 2 day Unlimited shoot in near perfect conditions. It doesn't get any better than that! Congratulations to Larry B. for a tremendous 2 day Agg. What big fun for a bunch of crusty old shooters.
 
Larry was on the bench to my left and every time I thought I had shot a good group, I would look over at his target and see a smaller one.
Nice shooting Larry and my thanks to Dennis for running a great match.
Hope to see some of the Visalia shooters at the December 5 shot Unlimited here in Phoenix.
