For those that have called and left msg's thanks. It sure is fun to shoot a good shooting rail on a mild range. I've said this many times, if you want to learn how to use wind flags, load development and load tweeking a rail is the way to go.

Pat - Nothing special. Young rail, Krieger barrel, Doc Marsh Saguaro action, Own bullets (j-4) jackets (die made by George Ulrich), Blend of powder, 8208 and bullets seated .030 off the jam. The 2 scope set up is to check to see if a scope is moving POI and they didn't. What was interesting is the barrel I used was a rechamber job. I chambered up that barrel several months ago; shot it several times with below average results. I put it away and forgot about it. I got a new chamber reamer from Hugh Henrikson and in preparing for the Visalia shoot I thought I'd try the new reamer in that barrel to see if it made a improvement. I ran the reamer in about .075 to take out the old chamber. Shot the barrel at Ben Avery the weekend before and saw it was going to be competitive. Friday afternoon at Visalia it shot well again. For most of the match I shot the same load combination; I did lower my load by one click on the measure twice on Saturday and once on Sunday. Each time the next group was much better than the previous. I made one tactical errror each day and each day I held a few shots in the right direction so it was a wash.
