VFS Matches Youngstown, Ohio Area (NE Ohio/NW Pa)

I have a buddy who lives in the NE Ohio area (Youngstown, Boardman,Canfield) and is interested in competing in VFS matches.

Does anyone know of any VFS registered (IBS/NBRSA) or unregistered (club) matches being contested within a 1 or 2 hour drive of Y-Town? :confused:

Yes,

Chippewa Rifle Club, south of Akron, OH. Get in touch w/ Randy Perkowski @ perkosrk@sbcglobal.net . He can tell you when their matches are. BTW, they are pretty well done for 2010.
 
McDonald Sportsmens Assoc about 1.25 hrs near Pittsburgh 1 more shoot this year not registered but a lot of fun
 
It would be at least 2 hours maybe a bit more for him but meeker has some unregistered club matches. The have a match the 2nd Sunday of the month. This upcoming match will have targets at 100 yards and 400 yards. (Weather depending) They have a good turn out.

My Lowellville Rod & Gun Club has bench rest matches most Sat. May - Oct. 200 yards. High power, 22 bench rest, AR 15 bench rest, CMP, Garand match. Last one was Sat.

Indoor pistol start this month. 22 rifle indoor starts in Jan.

Shotgun trap etc runs all year long.

Thanks Patrick I'll relay your range info to my buddy. He lives down the street from you in Canfield.
 
If your buddy is in Canfield tell him it is about 60 miles from the big water tower along the Ohio Turnpike. Have him contact me for directions by PM, last match of the year is 1st Sunday in Nov

My buddy and his brother are building VFS rigs and will probably compete next year. Thanks for the heads up. =)
 
Have your buddy contact me if they would like to try this year, might have a loaner they could shoot
