Stock Protectors

Need some help. Years ago I bought a nice leather stock protector to cover the butt stock of my rifles while cleaning. I haven't been able to find a source for another one like it. The only ones I can find are quilted cloth & the likes. Would really like to find some in soft leather. Anybody know of a source? Thanks,

hmmm, I always felt my vinyl Gammon's and Sinclair's wiped off cleaner than leather. But I quit using them 10yrs ago so my memory's a little foggy.

Leather stock protector

Rick Averill's is very nice. Just goole leather scope covers and his web page will become available. Great guy also. I like mine alot.

Find your local Tandy leather store and go in and make one for pennies. Most of the Tandy stores have a "Class Night" and you can come in and make a kit or whatever you'd like to make. I found this out when getting leather to make my own rear bag spacer. I made my own rear spacer for the cost of a can of glue. I went thru the scrap bin for the leather. I need to go back and make my own bolt holster.. Working with leather is pretty basic and easy..

Thanks for all the replies. I will have to look up Rick Averill & the Lloyd's. In the meantime, I went looking for the Edgewood protector & found it at Sinclair's. Again, thanks for all the help.

This was my first attempt to make something out of leather from Tandy. If I sent away for one it would have been more than $50.00, but cost me about $2.00. :D
