OK, OK, I can hear you guys now--Not another scope question!!
Maybe this one is a little different. My Smith called me today and my new Long Range rifle in 6.5X47 Lapua is going to be ready in two weeks. Just in time for the first match of 2012 for me. My other two Long Range Rifles both have Nightforce NXS 8.5-32X56 scopes, only difference in these two scopes is one is 1/8 click and the other is 1/4 click. I have learned that I personally much prefer the 1/8 click.
As always Nighforce scopes can be hard to find. I have found several NXS scopes with the 1/4 clicks and none with 1/8 click that are available now. I did find however quite a few 8-32X56 Nightforce Benchrest scopes that do in fact have the 1/8 click. So the question is what ( if anything ) am I giving up with the Benchrest scope as opposed to the NXS. That is other than the fact that I will be saving $600.00.
Money is "NOT" the determining factor, but I am sure not against saving the $600.00, but if the NXS is a much better deal.......
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
