i remember once seeing a one piece rest with a leather bag on the front as
well as one for the buttstock.
does anyone know which one it is? it wasn't a cheap one either. looked well
made.
the reason i ask is the butt on my rifle may be too wide for pappas,ahrens
etc.
 
Call Pappas anyhow.

Pappas pretty well makes each rest to order. I would bet if you asked he would make the back delron butt rest to fit your rifle.

Pappas Rest

I purchased a rifle with a butt too wide to fit in my Pappas rest, went to a local machine shop and had him to make a piece of derlin the same diameter as the original with a wider V machined in it, just have to remove two screws to change the rest when I shoot that gun, works great.
 
As SET said. But, keep in mind, Bill Myers is currently working with Baer to create a new one-piece rest design that will be available for both rail-guns, or using a FUDD top, if that's what you want. My understanding is it won't be available much before sometime in early 2009, but that's only rumor.

thanks guys. should have mentioned that the rest i saw used bags that
looked like protektor bags.
the rear one almost looks like a #1 sporter rifle rest bag and the front one of
course would match width of forend.
