Rem 700 reference material

What would be the best book for barreling and trueing a 700? This is for a personal hobby project, I have a South Bend heavy 10 lathe.

I don't know about "best," but John Hinnant's book, The Complete Illustrated Guide to Precision Rifle Barrel Fitting, is primarily aimed at the Remington 700 action.

If you have never done a barrel installation before and even if you have done several, Hinnant's book is full of good information and ideas and well worth the price.
