Redding T-7 turret and runout

I have been reading all over the internet about how good this press is, so I told Santa to get one. It is definitely a rugged press, but darn it, it induces runout in my Fl sized cases......around 3-4 thou. Is this just my press, or is this typical for this model? Tonight I had to run the cases back though the old RCBS press (using the same die) to iron out some of the runout. Couldn't get it all, but I got some of it out. Had I known about the runout issue with the T-7, I would have bought the Big Boss II.

Any thoughts?

I was able to get rid of some of the runout by carefully setting the dies under pressure, but you can feel the turret head rock a tad when you apply pressure. This can't be good for keeping them straight.

My T7 turret moves a lit bit too, but the runnout is near zero!

I believe the shellholder play actually helps in getting out any runnout as the brass enter the die, aligning itself.

Lee O-Ring lock rings

I found recently (based on a tip here) that by using the Lee lock rings with the O ring insert and just tightening enough to keep the die in place removed some runout for me.

i think it lets the die self align

FWIW

I use Redding competition shell holders and put an o-ring under the die lock ring.
When they contact each other the die moves in the loose threads to line up. It works for me.
