Redding competion seater-220 beggs

I like the Redding competion seater for my 6ppc and was wanting a perfect match for the 220 beggs. Here is what I did to make mine.
I got a 221 fireball comp seater and reamed the sliding sleeve with the beggs reamer. The base to shoulder measurement is fairly close between the fireball and the beggs chamber. I reamed the sleeve until the case protruded the same as my 6ppc seater. ( It cleaned up the old fireball shoulder completely ) The bullet seating stem was to long however. I cut a new snap ring groove .100 lower on the stem and then faced off the old groove.
It works perfect. BTW this was for a .250 neck and I was wanting closer tolerance than what was available.

Beggs seater/sizer dies

Richard,
Are you using the Hornady FL sizer .220 Beggs die...?

I'm gonna try to work with Redding on getting a FL S bushing die made up in .220Beggs... Just don't want to start with a bunch'a unique bushings since I got lottsa Wilson and Redding bushings, not to mention the Redding S bushing dies I have are really GOOD!

I'll ream out a blank Wilson hand die as my seater.

See ya at Luther, take care.

The hornady die

will take the redding bushings. It's a good looking die and I think you would be plenty happy with it.
I hope to get more shooting in this year, hopefully no more tornadoes to deal with!! I still am so far behind because of all that stuff. I think it will be several years before I can say "I'm done"
Missed all of you guys last year!!

Did you use the turn or no turn neck?
See you at Luther.
Thanks

you got something

I wonder if Redding can do that for me that would be a better than waiting for brand X

Glenn, the .250 nk

version has to be turned. I really debated going to the no-turn chambering, and I might later on if it proves out. As good as Lapua brass is, it is still not perfect.
