Get binged in the head enough times by not letting it slide freely in the mounts and you will be more than happy to pull it back to battery by hand. Being a dedicated Schuetzen competitor they are still often used in order to meet the traditional class rules and are highly desirable. They are also getting more exspensive by the day as a real nice one is harder to come by. The only real problem with some of them is lens seperation and there are those who specialize on repairing them. If you look at the objective lens and it is starting to get cloudy the lens adhesive is starting to fail and the lenses are seperating and need to be re-glued.
