Louis, John is a young person that has been raised to work hard on the farm and do the right thing. I believe that his Mom would jerk a knot in his AZZ if he didn't.
 
Butch I was pretty much raised the same. Milked Cows twice a day and did chores after School. When ground had to be worked I would be on a Cat all day and at times all night. It was an excusable absence back in the day. I just had stay on top of the home work that was picked up so I could do it when I could. That was back in the 7th and 8th grade and when time allowed I could make some money working for the nieghbors bucking hay.
