You should come to the Arkansas State Match on August 16th and 17th. It is a very well run match at a beautiful range! Hotels are cheap, food is very cheap and plentiful at the range. We have several places to eat in the evenings that are great. A great group of fellows to shoot with.
 
Dennis, The matches are out of Pencil Bluff, just a beautiful area. We stay in Mt. Ida or sometimes a little further east going into Hot Springs. It is just beautiful and very inexpensive.

A teenager recently found a big Diamond at a Public search site in Arkansas. not far from the Benchrest Range. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/04/11/girl-gets-20g-for-diamond-found-in-arkansas-park/

They have these Crystal Mine sites where the Public can go and look for crystals. Diamonds have been found in these Mines.

Come on up and indulge in your favorite hobby. Bring the Family. They can look for Diamonds while you shoot your favorite Sporter/LV. I met Colonel Billy Stevens at this match one year. You never know what celebrity might show up at the Arkansas State shoot.:D

Take 270 west from Mt Ida,Ark. You’ll go through Pencil Bluff,Ark ,A whistle stop,about 9 miles from Mt Ida. Keep going west until you get to a 75yd long chicken Coop on the left. Cant miss it. Just past the Chicken Coop,Take a right at Mcquire Rd, follow it until it dead ends. You’ll see the Range. The Owners Name is John Henry. The Range is in his back yard.

Lodging; http://www.mountida.com/lodgingA1.HTM We usually stay at the Royal Oak Inn. I don’t recommend the Mt Ida Motel.

BR shoot

It's always fun when the Texicans come to town! Butch, Glenn and Jay make any match special with their shooting and the after hours antics! Good times, good shooting, good food, what more could you want. If Jason misplaces his magic bullets this year maybe the rest of us will have a chance at a win.

the ouachita state shoot is not listed in the nbrsa news but i have talked to Butch Fjoser and Audrey Brown and it will be an approved tournament.

turkeys

the turkeys are ordered for the turkey shoot. they should be here tomorrow.

i if dont have jury duty i will leave thursday.
 
arkansas state

the jury will not be needed............so i can leave tomorrow.

i got 2 turkeys so we will have a turkey shoot saturday and sunday.
