New Hermes diamond drag question.

I have a rotary spindle and want to use a diamond drag. Do I need to lock the spindle to use a drag stylus?

I dont lock mine down. if it turns who even knows or cares?

I just take the belt off and forget the motor is there.

Is this about diamond drag queens? Maybe I missed something?? I made my own spindle for this using bronze bushings and a spring loaded Z. Works great, no rotation. I am using it with CNC.

No CNC...all HIGH tech manual pantograph. Works great!
