New borden f-class action model brmxd ser. Mxd0001

I just fit a barrel to one for Greg Taylor who works for Shurely Brothers and is also planning to shoot the Berger SW Nationals. Worked strictly off of Jim's online prints for the "BRM" with no action on hand and when Greg showed up with his action we tried it on the barrel and were withing 0.0005 of the specified headspace. Makes me happy and the customer smile! Great craftsmanship Jim. Speedy Gonzalez

That's saying somethin'......

Indeed it is.

I'm please to read the OP had an excellent experience with Borden. I'm considering a rifle build (my first), and basically know nothing about anything.

The Borden website not only claims machining accuracy, but they list many their specs.

I don't know too many br shooters, but I suspect attention to detail is a common trait of any/all successful shooters. The Borden website is loaded with detail, and that's a big deal to me. I haven't found too many other action makers/websites that do that.

I haven't been looking long, but Borden actions have zoomed to the top of my want list :)

Off-topic...sort've...but I recently bought a set of Mahle pistons for an engine rebuild - Mahle piston quality generally being very highly regarded. My butt...five of the eight pistons were out of spec - a 63% reject rate.

LOL...Tell me again about the value of the coveted ISO-9000-whatever rating?? `cuz it means nothing to me.

Talk is cheap.
