Need a few ideas

Made a cart to move things around the benches. I am coming up empty with some sort of idea where I can make a holder to attach my rifle so it can ride on the cart instead of having to carry it. I can use velcro staps to hold it down.

Here is a pic of the cart. I would like it simple and light as well.

How about a vertically oriented scabbard attached to the handle post? Nice, simple cart, but don't you need a little longer handle to avoid getting hit in the heels when you pull it?

Cheers,

This is what

I have come up with.

Will use a velcro strap to hold it in place for security as well as installing a front stop like used on a rest.

Just need to give it some yellow paint. Get some sponge that is all one color and I think it will work. Throw the tent over the rifle and it is good to go.

Be careful; velcro straps will hold it down but they may not prevent it from rolling over on the bar and banging your scope/rifle on the other stuff on the sled. Might be a good idea to add a "U" shape frame for the butt area of the stock to ride in so it can't twist and roll over.
One suggestion. Modify the base of the pull bar and the handle so they swivel on hinged pins. It'll be a lot easier to pull.

yes I can make a longer handle but the handle is long enough if you push the cart. When you have 50 lbs or more on it, it is defiantely easier to push than pull.

The cart I needed simple and compact as I do not have a trailer to haul all my stuff to the shoots. My vehicle is a Ford Ranger so I have everything designed and stored in a manner so that it all fits in behind the seat or tool box. Only a few items need ride in the back of the truck.

In regards OLD PPC to a pivot on the handle this thing maneuvers quite easily. I am a self proclaimed tinkerer and do not have all the tools or skills required to start making all the bells and whistles. I ahve made what will get my items from the truck to the loading shack, truck to firing line, and will move me from bench to bench. There may be things more perfect out there but this works for me.

Thanks for a heads up with something to keep the rifle from falling over in the cradle. It is pretty darn solid in there with just the foam and a front stop but maybe I have an idea I can use to incorporate into it to hold the rifle.

Well this

is what I ended up with as a final product. I put a piece of aluminium angle iron on the front with some 3/4" weatherstripping for the rifle to sit flat and more stable. Built up a pocket for the stock at the rear with the same weatherstripping. Rifle sits pretty solid as is. The velcro strap works holding it down that little bit tighter.

The rifle rest looks great! Perhaps you should begin making some of these rigs............there may be a good market for them.
