You're welcome, sir. That's what I do with it. I have a hot plate that I use to keep it "just" liquid. If you're not worried about the mess in the case, you can just dunk the necks in the warm mix, about 1/16" or so deep. It quickly thickens back up and stays put. Slick too.--Mike
If you have a Tandy Leather store near you, they'll normally stock it.
I warm the lanolin by placing it in a small metal sauce pan...which is then put into a bigger pot of boiling water. The neats foot oil is then added and mixed.
Another very good neck expanding lube is Permatex Ultra clear high pressure lube.
