My new to me lathe

Keith,
I will try to level in all axis, but I am only concerned about twist in the ways. I have mentioned this before and asked how ships handled level?
 
I run one for a living Butch and they do just fine level. I prefer the bow just a tad light if I had a choice.

Got it up and running yesterday. The 10EE has some neat features. You can set your cross slide when threading. After pulling your threading tool out you turn your cross slide in and it will stop where you have it set. You do not have to look. Mine also has a speed control on the end of the bed under the tailstock. It is variable speed reverse on the lead screw. You can thread at say 100RPM and you can reverse the cross slide at say 1000 RPM on the headstock. It reverses the cross slide very quickly. You don't have to disengage the half nut.

Butch, that was a vernier scale; lit and magnified. Easy to read; liked it.

I put a new drive on one of billys lathes that has dc injection braking. Its weird to see it stop on a dime or program it to bump then slow down or just free spool down

I have VFDs on both of my Bridgeports, My Clausing lathe has variable speed and a clutch lever and it is a brake when pushed all the way down. It is also built into the 10EE.

I'll bet Billy likes his VFD.
