My new 6.5mm Krieger barrel just arrived

I'm so excited I think I'm going to wet meself.

Now it's to the gunsmith with the barrel, the PT&G 6.5x47 Lapua reamer and my rifle. All I need now are bullets. And a bunch of other crap. Geezzz.

17 weeks! Ouch!! There are several fellas around these boards that stock most of the popular barrel sizes and contours. keep that in mind next time you go look for a barrel. I haven't had to order a barrel in a very long time. I bet your rife will be a real shooter! those 6.5x47lapua chambers sure seem to work!! Good luck and keep us informed! lee

If I remember correctly, I ordered the barrel in late Sept. or early Oct. and it was shipped on 11/8. I was quoted a delivery date in mid Jan. 2011, so I feel good about this.

That's my plan Glenn. When I get the thing chambered and decide how I will add a few thousand pounds to the stock. Maybe after the first of 2011.
