Sorry that I started this thread with the wrong tone about this.
This story simply stood out to me as being just a little extreme for my tastes.
I hope that the administration understands the level of complexity they are imposing on automakers by use of such elevated standards.
If this is for real, I also hope that the people who need the additional horsepower can find a way to deal with it being regulated in the future.
