Modifying Optics on rifle scope

I have just gotten back into benchrest after a dozen years away. The scope magnifications have really jumped! I have a Lyman/Seibert 25 LWBR scope that is 32X. Can this scope be modified to increase the magnificantion to say 40X or 45X? If so, who provides these services?

Mr Siebert did fine work. I'd keep the Lyman/Siebert & get a new scope - a Weaver if you're on a budget, Leopold if you can do it. The Lyman is a great scope, but it's 30+ yrs old. I have a Lyman/Siebert 30 & I'm looking for a wood stocked 40XBBR 222 to put it on for a '70 period rifle.

Thanks for the reply to modifying optics on my rifle scope. i have retired the Lyman/Seibert 32X and bought a Leupold 45X. regards, Hardrockjr
