I am looking for a mirage tube for a weaver T36 by 42mm scope. Does anybody know who sells this item. Thanks JAS

Shield not tube

Your better off with a Mirage shield instead of a tube, the tube traps the hot air from the barrel and increases mirage, shield is the way to go.

Amen, Amen and can we hear it one more time? Amen.

Some Velcro two sided tape and what ever you want to run down the barrel for a shield with some more of the Velcro tape. You will have the best mirage shield available. :D

Not the best picture in the world but you can kinda see how the shield sits on the barrel.

Guys who want tubes & not shields round this side of the world roll their own out of old Xray negatives & stick them together with reinforced tape (not duct tape - it stretches with changes in temperature).

Dick ...

Wow! Dave Halblom at Flying Fish Fundamentals sells those for $1.00 ea. but you have to provide your own Velcro tape.

How much is shipping and handling ???

If you can find an old Venetian Blind and then divert Velcro tape out of your spouse's sewing box, they're FREE !!! ;)

For a sunshade, just roll a piece of 8.5"x11" heavy card stock in a tube shape, slide it over the objective and tack it with a piece of tape.

If anyone has a sunshade for a Leupold Comp series or a Nightforce 12-42 BR lying around, I will be happy to take it off your hands ;):D.

Jim

I never had a problem by rolling a piece of plastec with tape to hold it together and insert into the sun shade.

Get rid of the ducks and the sun shade. The ducks can be a distraction, but if anything touches that shade your scope point of impact will change dramaticly.
