McMillan A2 foregrip rail spec

I have a McMillan A2 stock which I was going to get a sling attachment for. I was told it uses a standard Anschutz rail size, but the Anschutz 'T' blocks have a center pillar which is slightly too wide to slide into the rail.

Does anyone know what the proper rail spec size is for this stock when ordering rail inserts?

Thanks

If this is what you are referring to I took it off a Choate stock I had laying around. It fit into my rail perfectly on my new Stockade Prairie Dog / Tactical stock. :)

What You ask I don't know the answer, but if you call McMillan they can probably sell you the correct one.

Sounds like you are trying to slide a Freeland block into an Anschutz rail.

I'm not very familiar with many of the rail accessories just yet, but I would like to begin shooting off-hand with a shooting jacket and sling of course.

At this point, I'm not even familiar with where I look for good shooting slings for competition use. (That will come next once I find out the size of rail.) I simply assumed there are only a few different standard rail sizes for the sling lock nut which are used, and surely mine is too narrow to be a true Anschutz style.

Anyways, you're right, would be best just to give McMillan a ring tomorrow and see if they can tell me what they consider their rail.

Edit: Yes, sorry, should have been more descriptive in the beginning. I meant sling attachment for an arm sling and not a carry strap.
