March Scope Question

The March scopes come with what looks like a front lense cap with a hole in it.I believe it is too limit the amount of light entering the scope.

Can somebody measure the hole and tell me its size in inches?

1.380. Its called a "modifier disk" they claim it cuts light down by 50%. It does reduce the light but I couldn't tell ya if it's 30, 40, or 50%.

35mm Modifier Information

1. May cut incoming light by as much as 50% depending on brightness of conditions

2. Depth of focus increases by approximately 50%

3. Modifies view of mirage and target

4. It employs no lens. It is simply a perforated aluminum disk, weighing only 1/4 oz.

I don't like using the disk in overcast conditions. I use it only in sunny conditions.

Others perfer it installed for all shooting conditions. YMMV.
