Magazine action or single shot

I'm thinking of making a rifle for precision tactical matches (300yds) and F-T/R @ 600yds in .223 caliber. Is there a real advantage that you can see on paper to use a solid bottom receiver like a Remington XR-100 or Savage compared to one with a magazine cut out like a Remington 700 PSS?

People say single shot actions are more stiffer than, multi shot actions.
Removing metal for magazine, maker the action less stiffer.
Then you get people with left port load, right port eject action winning competitions.
That blows the removing metal theory out of the water.
The choice is yours.
You can put a single shot adaptor into Multi shot action, and make it load like a single action.
It always amazes me Sniper/tactical guys have mantra, one shot, one kill.
So why do all the tactical rifles have magazines ?.
Good luck choose wisely.
