I agree Cale, the Wolf primers work for me, last case I bought at The Shamrock was $130. It'll be a cold day in hell when I buy any Federal's unless they come wayyyyyyyyyy down in price.
Locally, 205M's are $37.95/1000. Standard 205's (which also work great ) are $29.95/1000. The store has a 1000 per customer limit, which seems to have kept the prices reasonable.
Seems to me like everything else, there hoarding these primers just to see how much people will pay. Me, I'll let them eat them before I pay that much and so should the rest of you. The guys with all the money are pricing us right out of the sport. I've got some older primers with the price still on them of $11.45 per 1000. That is all there worth Guys.
In comparison the prices quoted here are discounts - one of the local "Sporting Good" stores (not a chain store) is selling standard Federal primers for $59.00/1000. . .
On either Powder Valley or Natchez. Both of them seem to be in a cycle where they recieve Federal primers aprox every two months. I just got a shipment in from PV a couple of weeks ago, 205M's for $31 a thousand. Few weeks before that the little Brown truck had a delivery of 210's from Natchez. Neither shipment was a "backorder", they were listed on their respective web site.
Several shooters in my club recently put together an order to Graf for 205Ms. We have a club member who can buy at wholesale prices from Graf. For six cases we paid $153.13 per case including shipping and hazmat. The only downside was we had to put in the order and wait about two months or so for them to fill the back order. Works great as long as you don't let yourself get too low before ordering.
Was in the local Scheel's a couple of weeks ago and they had CCI-BR's, F205M's, and Rem 7 1/2's for $50/M, and no more than one "brick" per purchaser too. They wanted $40 for standard primers too. I thought, "isn't that nice", and left. I can wait awhile.
