if its a push feed with mauser type controlled round feeding it wont work

Davidson used to make a single shot adaptor that allowed the base of the cartridge to drop when pushed forward allowing it to slip under the claw extractor. They are no longer in business, Sinclair or someone else took that over. But they no longer list that version.

I machined my own ss follower from a piece of hard maple, just cut a rounded groove in it that was deeper at the rear, to let the extractor catch the rim. Rubbed it down with some moly grease, looked like blued steel, worked like a charm. Sand/carve the outside to fit up into the action, about 1/2-5/8" thick. Git'r done sez Bubba.

Alvin Davidson made a aluminum plate that would do a push fit . If you could find one of those to go by.
