Leupold 16x high brown gloss scope

Anyone tell me anything (value) on this scope?
It has what I'd call a very high (wet look) brown gloss.
Nice capped mini turrets and a fine cross hair, no dot. Straight 16x

Has a few light ring marks, scratches etc. nothing serious.

Yea it’s bluing that has turned plum. Normal anything over 25 years. I know back 30 years ago my buddy had one and I had a 24X, A 6.5-20 and a 8.5-25 and I always felt that straight 16 was clearer and seemed more than 16X. You can hit eBay to see what some ask for them. Leupold no longer repairs them scopes. So if you have a problem with it. You would have to look for vintage repair places. For that reason I gave up on vintage scopes. They are nice and I have a few that I like. I would think 400-500 would be in the ballpark. That one certainly looks in good condition.
