I buy a few barrels from Tim North and Aloma Weaver at North Manufacturing, d/b/a Broughton Barrels every year. Usually when I call after a pleasant greating from Aloma, she passes me on to Tim. We talk about the barrel specifics my customer and I want. Tim always takes time out of his busy schedule to talk with me about any subject that might come up. It normally takes 10 weeks to get a barrel from Tim. When the new barrel is completed Aloma usually calls and I give her my credit card number and she ships it. The other day I ordered a 30 caliber barrel and Tim said he had a couple pre drilled and it would only take about 6 weeks to get this 308 barrel. Today Tim called and said the barrel I ordered was shipped this afternoon. I buy a number of barrels every month. One well known barrel maker has promised two barrels that I ordered for almost 3 years ago. I really don't expect to see those barrels in my lifetime. As a gunsmith I appreciate prompt and predictable service. I will say Tim and Aloma have always delivered when they said they would. Their barrels have always been of superior quality.
