Is it true or not that the Roy Rogers Meusum is going out of business

It's nice that this

brought out so many memories. At least we will all have that. As for Dale and Roy, they made the most of the time they had together.

there was a few of the Sky King flicks on a while ago. I saw that Gale Storm passed on a short time ago. My Little Margie is the show that comes to mind.

Don't you guys remember the old b movies on Sagebrush theater on sat afternoons
Buck Jones,Tim McCoy,Lash Larue, man, that was the only good old times.

I worked with a cabinet man many years ago and he told me about his uncle who had a flat tire on a side road north of Los Angeles back in the late '40s and who should stop and help him change the tire, Yes it was Roy.

Roy saw the guy was a Texas country kid with boots and a very country type of character at that and got him some bit parts in western movies that lasted many years.

The guy told me that his uncle showed him a photo of Roy with his bowling team.

Of course, this sounds far out, but I really believed the man. It was least a good story.

Jack Lewis (Gun World magazine)........

has written a book I read a few months ago, although I believe it was written about 5-6 years ago; "White Horse, Black Hat: A Quarter Century on Hollywood's Poverty Row". It was a nostalgic look at some of the old stars and B movies; there was even a chapter on "Lash" LaRue. I used to really like some of the cameos of some of the old stars he had on the last page of Gun World, "Lewisly Speaking" some of the info couldn't have been gotten elsewhere. I miss the articles from Dean Grennell, too. He was always up to something practical. Check out the book, you'll probably enjoy it.
