I was reading an ad here in the classified section.
One person was selling 22 ammo and stated that he would not sell to anyone in New York.
From what i have read about the safe act it doesnt effect ammo sales until next year.

Dick be careful the crap is starting In MD also.
Some of us have to stock up. Little choice''

Are they considering a ban on Pressure Cookers? You just never know.

Dan I think we are going to need a background check to buy one of those Pressure cookers, but we all should wonder about the Explosives that was inside! Anyone Know what was used?

Joe-- What about the garbage cans and all the metal that was in it. Kids rationed to one pack of BBs a year if there was copper BBs in there, nails, anything that was shrapnel. Can't can tomatoes anymore w/ a pressure cooker. Put your garbage out for the garbage man in plastic sacks. No more marbles if they were in there--sue the manufacturer.

Background check and health care screen to buy a pressure cooker.
sounds about right; No BB sales for 6 months BBs outlawed. considered assault BBs

Joe, you're treading on one of my hotbuttons! I hope you're being snide...

"explosives"

WHY should "we all wonder" about the explosives??? So we can BAN THEM like we let the slow children ban nitrogen fertilizer?

The term "explosives" just drives me around the friggin' BEND! Any first year chem student can easily make "explosives" and all sorts of "poison gases" if he/she wants.... I'm an uneducated construction worker but I could build "pressure cooker bombs" or pipe bombs at my place or yours. People who want to blow stuff up CAN, in any country in the world.

I guess we need to start regulating intelligence, start censorship and make laws to stifle the free flow on information .......... "dumbing down," the Sacred Tradition of liberals.

A couple yrs ago a teenage kid messed with nuclear materials in his back yard, it hit the news. And people's reactions nearly made me vomit, hysterical cries of "HOW? WHERE? WHO could have given him this information???"

Don't get me started on "arsenic in our groundwater."

I'll say it again.... "WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY!!!"

Remember back when I was getting an education one of the guys came in & told the chemistry teacher he had made nitro-glycerine the previous evening in the hen house, a two pound honey jar of it. Disbelieving, the teacher got him to spell out his process, then bolted to get the army bomb squad out. A couple of suburbs were evacuated before they found out that the hens had knocked the jar over before the final crystallisation process (did I remember right) had finished.

In any case, they took an endloader to the back yard * his father took a piece of seasoned leather to his butt.

Many of us remember unpleasant trips behind the woodshed............but today this would be construed as child abuse as determined by my generation of hippies. I was NOT one....to this this day I dispise guys with pony tails and wire-rim glasses.......and VW mini-vans (with or without flowers)

Hell, I tried making nitro when I was in High School. Test tube got hot, red fumes started coming off the mixture, I gently but rapidly took it outside, and poured it into mom's rose garden, with big bucket of water following. Crazy, maybe, but never stupid....

We will be limited to seven preasure cookers. Better buy them now before they are considered assult cookers and have to be registered.

I remember when it was ILLEGAL to purchase an entire brick of 22's....... you hadda' stop by and grab your box each day on the way home from work.

Stupid laws.......

And we've got supposedly "shooters" even on sites like this who're openly supporting this regime.

I WILL NOT!!

Right now ANY PERSON WITHOUT A CRIMINAL PAST can walk into an explosives depot and buy dynamite..... take it home and blow things UP......and the thing that frightens me is that if the typical ignorant shooter were asked the question "do you think the man off the street should be able to buy dynamite?" He would answer with a resounding "NO!!"

BTW one of my kids makes nitroglycerine and many other reactives out in my shop...... nitro's a MILD one in fact .....

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid. (Well, you can avoid it anyway :) head it off at the proverbial pass......)

Yep Joe I do too.
alinwa just wait till you see the full retail prices at the dealers .
By the way retail means more $ for the governments via sales taxes
ever notice how theers always a fee involved in registration. $$$$$

Gerry everything is about money, and we are the dummies that keep paying.I refuse to pay $100 dollars for a brick of 22's. I'll just keep what I have and wait!

Good move Joe. Me too.
I see some gouging prices for everything from 22 ammo thats usualy a few dollars a can of powder and a box primers.
I just hope that it straightens out pretty soon.

I am a licensed manufacturer in Connecticut - "We" just passed similar laws on CT, several weeks ago, and I can not find out who I can sell to in my state - the state police can't answer that... I'm sure not going to sell to NY, Maryland, or California and take a chance of loosing my business for a few dollars.

all you have to do is keep up with the laws
The ammo deal doesn't take effect until NEXT YEAR.
I do understand your position though. we will stock up anyway and get it where we can.
